Victorian Pear-shaped Diamond Ring
circa 2.55 Ct

Description:

A very impressive Victorian pear-shaped diamond, centre stone weighing around 2.5 Ct and surrounded by 14 smaller mine cut diamonds all mounted in white gold.  Produced circa 1880 in the style of early Georgian.

The main centre stone is an old mine cut and has incredible colour, size and a sparkle. The shank is produced in yellow gold and either side of the diamonds is the hand chased Green Man.  The reverse hand engraving is a forget-me-not flower surrounded by foliage.  The Victorian forget-me-knot flower symbolises true and faithful love and the Green Man symbolises, on ladies jewellery, the quality of being divine / a divine being, like a Goddess.

A beautiful Victorian ring full of sentiment that never fails to impress.
