Pair of unusual square
column candlesticks
A rare pair of Edwardian candlesticks of square column form, cast, but loaded for balance.
These candlesticks are of the classic square reeded column finishing with a traditional capital and sconce to match. The square base is surrounded by acanthus leaves leading to 4 rams heads in each corner with a swag in-between, finishing in a square base to support the column.
Both pieces are engraved 1927-1952, from the Bridge Circle.
Made by Martin Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall) dated 1904/05.
Even though these candlestick are weighted, they are of exceptional quality.
